Season One Overall
Okay, I couldn't help myself. I just had to type something else, for I don't know when I will have the time to do it agains since finals are right around the corner. But enough of that, let's talk season one. You are probably thinking, season one? Well, it's hard for me to know that only four episodes of Charmed remain, so I thought that I'd jump right into the beginning and bring you all along with me. Let's talk season one overall. It's got to be one of the best, for it set the standards for what has happened over Charmed's existence. It's obvious that from the first episode Something Wicca This Way Comes to the season finale Deja Vu All Over Again that the series has kept getting better and better in both writing and special effects. So what's your take on the show's progression? How has the sisters evolved as individual characters and as a family? What is your favorite episode? Favorite guest characters? Do you have any favorite spells? And who or what was the biggest bad of the season in your opinion?

Oh, don't worry about it. It provides for multiple topics for us to blog about, so go crazy and type you little heart out.
For the first season, I'd have to say that the show progressed in a bundle of ways. Prue and Phoebe's relationship for one. They were at each others throats from day one and by the end of the first year they became less of the dueling duo and more of a sisterly coven. Now, that's not to say that they didn't have some bumps in the road during season two and three. That tension of their's still existed...it was just transformed with the new rising reasons, like Phoebe's lying about killing Cole. And secondly, the show progressed with the special effects. In the first part of the season, there wasn't much of them to really brag about, but as the season advanced and the behind-the-scenes people got a handle on the special effects, things started to swing full force. Yep, I'd say that there was great progression for the first season.
Wow, long post taylor. lol. And I agree with most everything you said. The show has developed in image and depth on both the characters, scripts and technology. I mean hello! Which Prue Is It Anyway? was one fab hour.
My favorite episode has to be That 70's Episode. I just HEART little Prue and little Piper.
Love Hurts was mine.
Oh, yeah. The showrunners did an excellent job with the three Prues. I really couldn't tell that they were added in.
My ab fab episode was Deja Vu All Over Again, aside from Andy's death.
I don't know. They left Leo out. I mean they did this really great episode (Love Hurts) with Leo, then wham bam! He's no where to be seen throughtout the season finale, but we are suppose to let him be all up in season two. I don't think so.
I thought it was justified that Leo wasn't in the finale. He left to do his job. Piper told him to go, because she knows that his job is important. And if you put that aside, Leo wasn't in every scene of season one -- so the finale could have been during a time Leo wasn't around, right?
Yeah, the season finale was just great even without Leo. Don't get me wrong, I love Leo. He's a great character. Plus, I totally forgot that the show introduced so much mythology in the first season. But one thing that always bugged me was how the sisters vanquished Rex and Hannah and didn't concern themselves with Hannah's last words. She was obviously talking to someone. Someone evil. The Charmed Ones should have had their alarms up, right?
